Ignis Academy Trust is committed to protecting the privacy and security of individuals whose data we process and to undertaking all data process in a lawful, open and transparent way in accordance with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR).
The UK GDPR sits alongside an amended version of the Data Protection Act 2018 that relate to general personal data processing, powers of the Information Commissioner and sanctions and enforcement. Our privacy notices describe how we collect and use personal information.
Who Collects This Information
Ignis Academy Trust is a “data controller.” This means that we are responsible for deciding how we hold and use personal information about staff, students, governors, visitors, contractors and business partners. The trust is registered as a data controller with the Information Commissioner’s Office and will renew this registration annually or as otherwise legally required.
